Chaos lately with so many non-runners about and naturally hard to pick out decent betting opportunities. One jumped out at me this morning and its a shame the price has gone in a little as I have done my usual due diligence but I still feel its value. Sovereign Spirit goes well over this course and distance and with the ground in his favour he could cause an upset I feel.

I am only following Allegretto in this race today and its a little bit different from normal when I often take on the favourite with a few. Today though I see the best value in Allegretto and the only issue revolves around the fact there are only 8 runners. Any withdrawals would rule the bet out from an each way perspective.

EASY BETTING RACE ADVICE 2.20 Newton Abbot

Today with 8 runners in this race and with the going currently Heavy, soft in places there is a danger of a withdrawal affecting our each way payout. If backing each way it might be best to wait as long as possible but keep an eye on the market in case either selection is backed in.

A number of members have asked about race comments and I will try and supply this time permitting, although sometimes its not always possible as I want to take advantage of value prices. Ofarel Dairy is worth taking on at just under 1/2 as he lost when a similar short favourite at Fakenham recently. Different conditions today but I feel there is value in opposing him, especially with Cornish Flame who should appreciate the heavy going today and a real stamina test. A saver on the Irish horse Martin Pitchwood who has been very progressive with the only question mark his handling of the ground. Certainly worth watching him in the market as he could well see money.

Brenin Cwmtudu is dropped in trip and I agree with the thought he is much better than he showed on his hurdling debut where he finished distressed. Race Comments : When i saw the price of Hells Bay this race immediately jumped out as one to research further and the lack of any value on the favourite has opened up the race in our favour. Hells Bay doesnt look like one you can back with a great deal of confidence at odds-on after a poor run last time out. Space Mission at a big price looks quite tasty and despite the extra weight I feel confident in backing him with further improvement likely. Schiehallion may well have needed the run last time out after nearly 2 years away from the course and should also benefit from having his first run over hurdles already. Our last bet Isnt That Lucky also tired towards the end of his first race since March 07 a few weeks back but he looks a real good sort that offers each way value.

Race Comments : Le Duc is defintely not one I would be looking to back at odds on having not won for three years, certainly doesnt appear to offer any value. Back Nine took this race last year and looks worth an interest to me to repeat that again this year. As I was in the process of advising him as a bet, he was also supplied by a major tipster which is why the odds have plunged on this selection. Frustrating as it means the odds will shorten but positive in the fact it has come from such a strong tipster. Milord Lescribaa should have a lot in his favour this afternoon at Sandown, slight risk in hoping his performance at Plumpton recently was a one-off but looks one to follow.

Race Comments : Note, Stagecoach Diamond has been given by a major tipping service, which is a positive as I rate them, however the price has moved. 4/1 is still easily there though. Im not keen on Negus De Beaumont at 5/4 who I feel will struggle over this shorter trip, he is a decent type but I just cant see him having it all his way today. His price has drifted this morning and continues to do so whilst our bets are coming in for support. I do like Stagecoach Diamond at a good price and he has been very steady in recent outings, he certainly could push the favourite hard over this trip. Unowatimeen caught the eye, moving to a new yard who have sent him off chasing straight away. Impressive over hurdles this one is a real alternative at a good price. The final selection is Chef De Cour who impressed at Kelso last year, his first chase experience took it out of him but I think its worth an investment as the final bet of 3.

EASY BETTING RACE ADVICE 2.30 Leicester

Race Comments : A couple of races looked interesting today with a half decent card to get stuck into. The 2.30 though took my eye and although it would have been nice to get a slightly bigger price on Caged Tiger it still strikes me as a good bet. Ballabriggs goes over further today which may suit but he always seems to find one too good and I dont think the race will be as straightforward for him as the odds suggest. Caged Tiger likes the course and looks one to have improvement left in him, and Donald Will Do was not far behind him last month in December. Little to seperate the two and I have them a lot closer to Babbybriggs than the market suggests.

Race Comments : Opportunities have been thin on the ground lately but a good looking race today and chance to get off and running for December. Beau Michel at under evens looks plenty short enough with a number of question marks over hi. He is not been seen since April when he finished that race in some distress. First time over fences today and so a risk for favourite backers he will take to them. This opens up the race to others I feel and 3 good each way bets in a race with only 9 runners going to post looks great value. Opera De Coeur we have take a chance on how he goes over fences today but should benefit from his first run this season last month. I also like Moles Chamber at a good price as he looks another who will benefit from a recent outing. Dream Falcon finishes our triumvirate of bets, he likes it here at Taunton and again should benefit from recent race fitness over this testing trip.

Race Comments : Im never one to shirk a bet even if the favourite is as short a price as this one. In the past I have had success taking on 1/3 shots (with a 14/1 winner) so I believe over time this formula is a succesful one for us. The Tother One is short enough at 2/5 and opens up the race with 2 value bets next up in the market. Both are offering excellent odds if backing to win outright although the bookies are as usual very stingy and wary of each way punters such as ourselves picking them off. The fave didnt have much to beat when winning back in April and despite his pedigree and all the talk about him it doesnt look like a price I would take. He ran fairly green on that debut and if put under pressure today might not be as straight-forward a bet as the odds suggest. Our 2 bets are the only real live threats it would seem and although we are taking half a chance on both of them I am confident in this selection. Of course the favourite could hose up like a 2/5 shot does but percentage wise I believe we will win more than we lose overall in these kind of races.

Race Comments : Pieter Brueghal is certainly not the most straightforward types and not one I would like to back at 4/6. Not won in a long time over this distance and not been overly impressive in recent outings. His extremely short price pushes out value elsewhere which is where we focus. Monashee Brave could perhaps do with a slightly longer trip but ran very well from an unfavourable draw last time out and a repeat of that form could see him push for honours. Rebel Duke I also like as he has shown decent form of late and will also be there or thereabouts I feel.

Race Comments : The race has opened up nicely for us today and I do want to take on Bon Viveur who I feel is short enough at around 4/5 and not a price I would want to take. Hansomelle looks a real threat and even if Bon Viveur does win like an odds on favourite theoretically should, we should at least ensure a place return. Hansomelle fell last time out when a 50/1 shot at Kempton over Hurdles but prior to that had put in some promising performances. A good price today and we are on.

Race Comments : The Betfair markets are still settling after the downtime they experienced this morning, but I liked this race early this morning and looks an excellent proposition. Warsaw Pact looks short enough today and not one to be backed with any degree of confidence. Its short price opens up the race favourably each way. Master Wells has a question mark over his ability on the ground but certainly has the quality to take the race if handling the surface. Qualify should appreciate the longer trip on his 2nd hurdling outing and certainly has impressed in recent runs on the flat. Jack Rolfe also despite being a little shorter in price than I would like has shown decent form over hurdles.

Race Comments : A pleasing result yesterday and just like buses, 2 bets in 2 days with another race shaping up our way this morning. Spencer is booked on the fave today and he is going all out for the jockeys title but I dont think he will have it all his own way with some good priced threats. Celtic Strand should appreciate the step up in trip and may well have won last time out where it not for hanging left on the home straight. Bishopbriggs equally seemed very green on his debut run but looks one full of promise. I feel both our bets offer potential to improve and cause problems today if the race is run to suit and worth an investment at these prices.

Race Comments : Initially today I was very interested in taking on Craigstown in the 4.10 at Notts but he has since been withdrawn and the race has changed dramatically. Still there is interest for us today at Brighton with a favourable looking maiden where I want to take on the far too short Doctor Robert with a couple of each way bets. Soggy Dollar is as short a price as I go and shouldnt mind the softish going at Brighton and I expect to go a lot closer than the odds suggest. Captain Webb an unknown quantity so some degree but has the pedigree and a trainer who can get them right first time out. One to be on i feel at a good price.

Race Comments : I certainly like the look of this race for our first bet in September, with the only worry being ensuring we got a decent price to start with for Loyal Knight. Showed definite improvement in last outing and the form has worked out well since that race. Trenchtown is short enough at 1/2 and I feel our bet can push him all the way at a decent price. The bookmakers wont like this bet today and are scrooge-like with the odds on offer.

Price Alert: Currently with the major bookmakers there is a best priced 3/1 on offer although I certainly feel that we can expect 10/3 or 7/2 at some point based on the Betfair market. Race Comments :
Finally a race of interest that has not been undone by non-runners or the bookies pricing. Taking 3 against the short favourite Dubai Time today over at Ayr in what should be an interesting contest. I have skipped a few of these maiden races recently as a number have seen some big priced winners. (I highlighted the 1.30 at Thirsk last Friday for example which saw a 33/1 winner beat a heavy odds on fave for example). I believe this race though will see the winner from the first 4 in the market and bet accordingly. Although Dubai Time ran a good race on debut I dont believe he will have everything his own way today. Pearl Trader is a very interesting newcomer with some eyecatching future entries and from a good yard that can turn out winners first time out. Further down the market Mangham looks one to be on as well today, if showing improvement on the first run will certainly be up there. The last bet is Harrison George who should benefit from the step up in distance today.

Race Comments : I was really disapointed that the 2.50 race was reduced to 7 runners yesterday as I got the fave beat with Beautiful Madness, one I would have backed against Tarkamara. The fave certainly has a chance but I would not be looking to back her at such a short price, I make her a bit bigger than that in my own book. I think there is more to come from Dragon Flyer and recent runs have not been indicative of her potential. The wildcard is Kaateb who comes from a yard with a good record here and cannot be ignored. Of the outsiders Turkish Sultan is of interest but not strong enough for me to advise a bet on him.

Gothenburg showed promise in debut outing but I take our 2 bets today to run him a lot closer than the market suggests. Exhibition seems a decent sort but the big question is will he perform on the heavy going today at Nottingham. Already the ground is sodden and with outbursts of heavy rain expected I wouldnt be backing a fave at 1.70 that is unproven on this ground. Rub of the Relic will defintely enjoy the ground and has been consistently placing in recent races so we can expect a place at least. I also like Lake Sabina who although also unproven on the ground has room for improvement and if taking to conditions can threaten the fave.

Race Comments :
8 Runner Alert Note only 8 runners are currently going to post. Keep an eye out for any non-runners as this will affect our each way returns with only 2 to place. Should there be any withdrawals do place a hold on your bets and if possible I will send an updated email. Either way If there is a non-runner (and as long as not the favourite) I would only advocate placing a WIN only bet.

As for the race itself, similarly to yesterday, todays favourite has yet to be proven over the very soft going and takes a step up in trip. For my mind, Billion Dollar Kid trading at around evens offers up value in the rest of the market.

Marning Star although probably as short a price as I normally go at 4/1 and 7/2 looks the main threat, proven on the ground and over the trip he has room to improve further and push the favourite close today.
Midnite Blews although beaten by Billion Dollar Kids stablemate last time out cannot be discounted either over todays conditions. Our final bet is Toto Skyllachy is one who can only improve after getting a full race under his belt at Carlisle on good to soft.

Perhaps the other to watch is Champagne Dancer who finished 6th in our advised race at Bath last week. He may have something more to offer after the first run.

Parliamentiary certainly looks likely to show improvement after debut run as they often do from this yard and the soft ground should not be an issue. The favourite didnt have much to beat when winning last time out at Fontwell and certainly may well be pushed. Our main threat lies in the form of The Big Canadian who seemed to benefit from wearing blinkers when winning recently at Wincanton. The form from that race has worked out well and with further improvement today could have enough to trouble the fave.

Race Comments : Excellent winner on Friday evening with the favourite well beaten by Bobs Surprise. The favourite I am taking on today may not at first glimpse seem the most likely lay but I feel the race is open to each way value and I am never scared to go against the majority of opinion. Blue Sky Thinking is going for his 5th win on the bounce and is very short odds to reflect this, a hardworking type who has had problems with his knees in the past. Such concerns means it is certainly never always going to be easy for his backers. Away from the fave we are backing Top Jaro as our main bet today. He finished behind Blue Sky Thinking when they last met but did not have a clear run that day, he is a bit hit and miss but with the benefit of a clear and well timed ride (something he has not really had too often) he offers value. I am also backing Nevinstown at smaller stakes, he showed improvement last time out when also unlucky inrunning, a repeat performance of that today will see him go close.

Race Comments : Our previous bet showed how too much emphasis can be placed on a short favourite with only one slightly impressive run to date. Secret Tune gave a decent performance when 2nd at Windsor a few weeks back but he may require a longer trip to show his potential. Serhaaphim may also require longer but can certainly build on an OK first outing whereas Four Miracles should find the distance to her liking and can defintely pose a threat.

Race Comments : Favourites going in across the board lately although I feel we have found a weak jolly in the 6.30 at Wincanton. An issue has been the prices but with 7/2 at least available I feel its OK to get involved. The other problem is that only 8 runners go to post and one withdrawal will see us getting paid out on the first 2 finishes only. With that in mind try and hold off placing your bets as long as you can. Kings Head is quite a short price based on only the one outing over hurdles and could come up short under pressure from a number in this race.

Race Comments : Last race of the day at Worcester provides us with our 2nd night racing advice of the season. Cadoudalas looks a very interesting prospect and is expected to improve for his recent outing at Wincanton. EASY BETTING RACE ADVICE 6.40 Sedgefield

Race Comments :
Our first night racing bet of the year and despite the short current price on Bob Bites Back (which i feel will open up a bit), it does look an interesting race for an investment. First chase start for the odds on Nobel which presents quite a risk for anyone backing at such a skinny price. He has not impressed in recent outings either so enough doubts in terms of the favourite. Bob Bites Back is a bit of a tricky customer but if running a settled race could easily push the favourite all the way. The other alternative to the fave lies in the form of Snake Rave who performed adequately enough on chasing debut last week.

PRICE ADVICE Bob Bites Back is only 3/1 best price with the bookies but trading at over 5.2 at Betfair at the moment. I have placed a minimum 3/1 pricing advice on him below, but with the current odds I would be hopeful of at least 7/2 becoming available. Of course as the market progresses throughout the afternoon this will become clearer. If you can keep an eye on the price and the best odds.

All the attention will focus on Wichita Lineman but at such a short price and with his tendency to hit a 'flat spot', this opens up the race to a couple of improving sorts who offer each way value. Silverburn in particular although beaten by Wichita on hurdling debut last year has really progressed since then and may well benefit from the step up in trip. Massinis Maguire however has beaten the fave in the past and ran a superb race last time out to win at 20/1 at Cheltenham.
